The NEST merit pipeline
1. Section scores
Each section uses the NEST marking scheme and is evaluated separately.
2. SMAS qualification
You need at least three sections meeting the applicable SMAS to receive a total score for ranking.
3. Best three total
The three best qualifying section scores are used for the total score.
4. MAP and rank
You also need the applicable MAP percentile to receive a merit rank.
Where does NEST lead?
NEST is the common entrance test for the five-year Integrated MSc programme offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. The official NEST site describes the programme as research-oriented basic-science education.
