IAT vs NEST
Both are science-focused entrance exams, but their scoring and admission ecosystems are different.
IAT

Explore NEST →Choose IAT if…
You want to explore the broader IISER ecosystem, including BS-MS and additional BS/B.Tech programs available through the IAT route in the 2026 cycle.
Choose NEST if…
You specifically want the 5-year Integrated MSc route at NISER Bhubaneswar or UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai.
Why prepare for both?
For a science student interested in research, preparing the shared Class XI-XII foundation for both exams can be efficient. The biggest adjustment is learning each exam's scoring and selection rules.
This comparison uses the 2026 official structures. It is not a recommendation that one exam is universally better than the other.
