The basic route
1. Take IAT
The current published IAT structure uses Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Check the official brochure for the cycle you are applying to.
2. Receive a rank
Not every raw score should be interpreted as a guaranteed rank or admission outcome.
3. Submit preferences
Choose the academic programs you want to be considered for and order them by preference.
4. Counselling allocation
Offers depend on rank, category, preference order and available seats in the current allocation round.

A rank or cutoff reference does not guarantee an offer. Official IISER 2026 guidance states that allocation considers seat availability, IAT rank, the candidate's program preference order and category.
