NEST preparation roadmap
Build four-subject coverage first, then learn how to convert that preparation into a strong SMAS-qualified score.
Foundation
Complete NCERT/Class XI-XII concepts and keep short notes for formulas, reactions, diagrams and recurring mistakes.
Balanced practice
Rotate all four subjects. Do not rely on three subjects while completely abandoning the fourth because SMAS is section-wise.
Timed mocks
Practise full-paper switching between subjects. Record each section score separately rather than looking only at the total.
SMAS-first analysis
After every mock, ask: which sections cleared SMAS, which did not, and where can a few extra correct answers make the biggest difference?
