NEST admission guide
NEST is the entrance route for the 5-year Integrated MSc programs at NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai.
NISER
The National Institute of Science Education and Research in Bhubaneswar offers a research-oriented Integrated MSc in the basic sciences.
UM-DAE CEBS
The University of Mumbai–Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences is the second NEST destination.
2026 intake
The 2026 brochure listed 200 seats at NISER and 57 at CEBS, plus supernumerary seats specified in the brochure.
Eligibility
The 2026 cycle required at least three of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in XI-XII, qualifying Class XII timing, minimum aggregate marks and a NEST merit rank.
Scoring → merit list
First, section scores are checked against SMAS. At least three sections must qualify. Then the applicable three qualifying scores form the total, followed by percentile and MAP-based ranking.
